The Plenary Session of APA on 10 December this morning has continued its meeting of the Standing Committee on Political Affairs. The Cambodian delegation led by H.E. Dr. Pen Panha, Chairman of the Commission on Legislation and Justice of the National Assembly, and the Chairman of APA Political Committee, attended the meeting.

Before commencing the meeting, H.E. Dr. Masoud Islami, Acting APA Secretary-General, informed the meeting that it is set to discuss the some draft resolutions, including the Draft Resolution on Advancing the Principles of Friendship in Asia, the Draft Resolution on Deploring Acts of Terrorism and Violence Extremism and the Draft Resolution on Significant Political Development in Asia.

H.E. Dr. Masoud Islami stated that the APA secretariat has received requests and proposal for amendments to the said draft resolutions, which were made by APA delegations.

It is emphasized that pursuant to the content of the draft resolution on advancing principles of friendship and cooperation of Asia, the APA member Parliaments shall promote the role of mass media on parliamentary affairs in Asia in order to keep the general public well-informed, and report back to the APA secretariat to speed up publication within the framework of APA.
